12th Senior and 18th Junior Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships 2025
The 12th Senior and 18th Junior Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships took place from June 2 to 16, 2025, in Jecheon, South Korea. Representing Sri Lanka, Jaydon Attygalle competed in the Senior Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) category, while Yeshwin Jayathissa and Manuja Matheesha participated in the Junior MAG events under the guidance of MAG Coach Asantha Sanjeewa.
In the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) category, Nuyara Fernando (Senior) and Dinugu Bihansa Karunaratne (Junior) represented the country, coached by Kaushini Chaturya Gunasinghe.
A historic milestone was also achieved at this event: for the first time in Sri Lankan gymnastics history, a Sri Lankan judge officiated in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics at this level. Amaya Kalukottage, a FIG Category 3 judge, proudly represented Sri Lanka as an official judge at the championship.
